The wise owl and owl hen represent the king and queen of the army. Figurines of Camel, Horse, Elephant and Owlet represent the Bishop, Knight, Rooks and Pawn respectively. The hand-carved work on all the pieces is simply extraordinary, bringing to life all the pieces on the chess board.
