On September 18 1976 in New York NY the USPS honored American newspaper publisher Adolph Simon Ochs. He was the former owner of the New York Times and the Chattanooga Times. Ochs imposed new standards on the newspaper, and he rejected non-credible advertising, and separated editorial opinion from news reporting. Adolph Ochs died in 1935 at the age of 77.
