Entomologists of the world, unite! Actually, better make that myrmecologists, because this bug board game is mainly about ants. Suitable for two to four players ages 9 and up, it works like this: The 48 1.25-inch cardboard discs represent four types of ants and their pupae, along with living ant food like aphids and grubs, other bugs such as roaches and spiders, and special "prize" pieces. Roll the die, and move the ants around the 22-inch-square board. The object is to get all three of your grub or other prizes back to your nest--preferably without being eaten by any predator bugs. It's great fun for kids who've caught the bug bug--and much less messy than an ant farm. A bug fact sheet is included. --Richard Farr

You are an army ant searching the garden for some tasty grub. But look out! Around the corner could be an even hungrier praying mantis or other nasty predator. Figure out where your prizes are hidden and get them back to you nest first to become King of the Bug World. Games Magazine Top 100 Game (1999).
