Russian Zagreb chess pieces set is one of the most popular chess sets in the 50's and 60's of the twentieth century that was used in the most important chess tournaments around the world, among others, in Candidates Tournament which took place in 1959, in three cities belonging to Yugoslavia - Bled, Belgrade and Zagreb. All chess pieces are Weighted by adding a stud of iron within the base. Each of Chessmen has green felt to prevent the damage of the chessboard surface. All chess pieces are expertly carved and weighted for fantastic hand-feel.
