The Roosevelt Dime is a widely circulated coin in the United States, first minted in 1946. It replaced the Mercury Dime to honor the late President Franklin D. Roosevelt, who passed away in 1945. This dime holds both historical significance and sentimental value for many Americans. The obverse side of the coin features a left-facing portrait of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, who served as the 32nd President of the United States from 1933 to 1945. The design, created by John R. Sinnock, portrays Roosevelt wearing a hat and is accompanied by the inscription "LIBERTY" and the year of mintage. On the reverse side of the coin, a torch, an olive branch, and an oak branch symbolize freedom, peace, and strength, respectively. The inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and "ONE DIME" are also present.
